Human-computer interaction

Image
Human-computer interaction (HCI) is the field of study that focuses on optimizing how users and computers interact by designing interactive computer interfaces that satisfy users’ needs. It is a multidisciplinary subject covering computer science, behavioral sciences, cognitive science, ergonomics, psychology, and design principles. The emergence of HCI dates back to the 1980s, when personal computing was on the rise. It was when  desktop computers  started appearing in households and corporate offices. HCI’s journey began with video games, word processors, and numerical units. However, with the advent of the internet and the explosion of mobile and diversified technologies such as voice-based and   Internet of Things (IoT) , computing became omnipresent and omnipotent. Technological competence further led to the evolution of user interactions. Consequently, the need for developing a tool that would make such man-machine interactions more human-like grew significan...

Quantam Computing

QUANTAM COMPUTING  Quantum computing is a multidisciplinary field comprising aspects of computer science, physics, and mathematics that utilizes quantum mechanics to solve complex problems faster than on classical computers. The field of quantum computing includes hardware research and application development. Quantum computers are able to solve certain types of problems faster than classical computers by taking advantage of quantum mechanical effects, such as superposition and quantum interference. Some applications where quantum computers can provide such a speed boost include machine learning (ML), optimization, and simulation of physical systems. Eventual use cases could be portfolio optimization in finance or the simulation of chemical systems, solving problems that are currently impossible for even the most powerful supercomputers ...

BIOINFORMATICS

BIOINFORMATICS Bioinformatics has become a buzzword in today’s world of science. Earlier, people saw biology and computer science as two entirely different fields. One would learn about living beings and their functions whereas the other would learn about computers and underlying theories. However, these two fields are completely different and this new field has emerged as a combination of both Computer Science and Biology. A Brief Overview to Bioinformatics Bioinformatics is the application of computer technology to the management of biological information. One of the major activities that the field of bioinformatics involves is the development of software tools that helps students of  Engineering Colleges in India  generate useful knowledge within the biological field. Although they can intersect, bioinformatics is different from the fiel...

Mobile Adhoc Network

Image
Mobile Adhoc Network   MANET stands for Mobile Adhoc Network also called a wireless Adhoc network or Adhoc wireless network that usually has a routable networking environment on top of a Link Layer ad hoc network.. They consist of a set of mobile nodes connected wirelessly in a self-configured, self-healing network without having a fixed infrastructure. MANET nodes are free to move randomly as the network topology changes frequently. Each node behaves as a router as they forward traffic to other specified nodes in the network.  MANET may operate a standalone fashion or they can be part of larger internet. They form a highly dynamic autonomous topology with the presence of one or multiple different transceivers between nodes. The main challenge for the MANET is to equip each device to continuously maintain the information required to properly route traffic. MANETs consist of...

Semantic Web technology

SEMANTIC WEB TECHNOLOGY  Semantic technology uses formal semantics to help AI systems understand language and process information the way humans do. Thus, they are able to store, manage and retrieve information based on meaning and logical relationships. Various businesses are already using semantic technology and semantic graph databases such as Ontotext's GraphDB to manage their content, repurpose and reuse information, cut costs and gain new revenue streams. LinkedIn Twitter Facebook Semantic Technology uses formal semantics to give meaning to the disparate data that surrounds us. Together with  Linked Data  technology, it builds relationships between data in various formats and sources, from one string to another, helping create context. Interlinked in this way, these pieces of raw data form a gi...
